Turquoise Eyes

Hello All!!!

Today I am going to tell you all how I managed this pretty turquoise blue eye shadow look.

I hardly ever wear color on my eyes just the standard neutral browns, tans and champagne. But not today folks.

I am very pleased with how this turned out.

For the main event I used my Be A Bombshell Eye shadow Quad in Bora Bora that I got in one of my Ipsy bags a few months back.

In the crease I applied the darker brown shown in the upper left section. On the lid I applied the lower left golden tan color all over the lid. And I was not neat about it.

Then comes the show stopper. I did my eyes first cause I am not neat when it comes to applying dark colors. But I did try to focus this in the center of the lid and not to go up to the crease.

I used L'Oreal Carbon Black Liner with Benefit They're Real Mascara paired with Mabelline Lash Sensational mascaras.

Then Viola done but the fallout was horrendous so thanks goodness for Foundation. I wore my Estee Lauder Double Wear. Concealer was Mabelline Fit Me Concealer for my under eyes and to cover the shadow that did not brush away.

I set my foundation with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade Translucent and a new ELF product an under eye primer. Honestly I have not a difference with it but I continue to put it on.

I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer on my cheeks, hairline and jaw bone. My Blush was Milani in Bellismo Bronze and Physicans Formula Pearl highlighter.

On my lips I wore Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lips in Pure Hollywood. A valentine's day gift that I hope to collect them all.

Again its a fun change of pace that I was pleased with and I felt like sharing with you all. Enjoy!!

Drugstore Make-up: Wet n Wild

Hey Guys!!

Please excuse my absence from here in the last couple of days...

But today I am going to show you all my new favorite and, dare I say affordable, find from the drug store. That's right Wet n Wild. Retails for $2.93 a trio at my local Walmart.

I know what you are going to say...cheap make-up = not good make-up.

I am here to show you differently. In the Wet n Wild trio they had 6 different options at my local Walmart. Of course I bought five only because the 6th Steal My Thunder was not in stock. I have a problem I'm aware.

Spoiled Brat: my first impression of this shadow trio was, "Look at the Pink" But uncertain how it would look on my skin tone. Oh boy was I wrong here. Below is a look I created with just this trio.

Next up, is I'm Getting Sunburned: Shimmer Shimmer! I just knew this would be gorgeous. This reminds me a lot of what can be found in the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. Similar shaded here.

Sweet As Candy: These are just pretty neutrals. On the back of the Trio is says it takes the guess work out of make-up and I would have to agree. I would match all 3 of these colors for an every day look. Again I am showing you a look I created with these shadows.

Walking On Eggshells: These are the perfect Kristin colors. Similar I am not going so far to say dups but similar to the Naked Basic Palette that I love. And for $2.93 only a fraction of the cost.

Silent Treatment: This Trio would be great for a dramatic smokey eye. That middle crease shade is gorgeous.

Like I said before I am bummed that I have the 6th trio Steal My Thunder to complete my set but it is just grays and blacks. I will get it one day I will not be complete until I have it.

The pigmentation of these shadows is amazing. The shadows are long lasting. The only down fall I see in them is I want more colors for that prices. Some Greens, Purples or Electric Blues would be a nice change of pace. Plus you just can not beat the price. I hope you try these Wet n Wild Trio out for yourself and let me know what you thing of them!!

Reuse Old Candle Holders

Hello All!

Today I am shaking it up and bring you all a little DIY. Occasionally I get crafty.

I figured this out from a Pinterest post I saw once you place candles in the freezer and that makes the wax ridiculously easy to remove. Now its recommended to remove before your significant other starts asking "Why do we have so many candles in the freezer?" :)

The process is really easy as soon as you have removed from the freezer take a butter knife and let your weeks frustrations out on the cold wax.

Once the wax and metal wick holders that they glue down for some crazy reason are removed from the jars you will want to clean them up. I like to take a paper towel dry worked fine to remove the black from the edge and remove the sticker label.

After that I ran them thru the dishwasher. I mean I suppose you could wash them by hand...

Then we are done. I find that I can use them for cotton balls, Q Tips, Make-up pads, brushes and more.

I hope you test this out. Kinda makes me feel good that I am reusing and re-purposing something rather than just throw it out. Let me know if this worked for you!
